Kimon Haitoglou

People - Issue 17

Hi, my name is Kimon and I am twenty-six. I live in Plaka and I have a weakness for quadrupeds that piss from their joy and two legs that their strong point is their eyebrows I started playing music at a very young age with a piano that was my sister’s and a whistle in his mouth. Later the musical Middle School / High School came with violin in classical orchestra and guitar in Jazz and phonetics, which I loved the most, because I liked to become hoarse. Whatever! Then I studied music technology - sound recording at SAE and IEK Domi.

My relationship with tattoo and piercing started when I was about fourteen, when I saw Jamie Hewlett’s “Tank Girl”, where the comic character had pierced ears and nose, and generally a style that “disarm”. I never wanted to make a symbolic tattoo because I think that I am a quite unconventional man and I have paid it dearly.

So in 2009 I started working in Berlin Tattoo where I walked well on the subject in general and my eyes were opened until strong north wind blew and brought me very recently little further south, the Ritual Tattoo where we have a wonderful cooperation! We laugh a lot and this is important for me.

I love my tattoos so much, especially my black arm, which has an antiracist denotation and of course “Tsapatsoulis” in my left butt chick who I sang when I was small, on my golden years. Lately I think I might get tattooed the "Kimon and his Gang" logo on my, in order to close the dilogy.

Plus, I intend to do a tattoo project with beautiful blackness that I guard for surprise my mother. I hope that she will take it.

Thank you HeartbeatInk for our conversation, Ino for the photos and patience and my dog waiting hungry for a long time - especially him.
