HeartbeatInk Tattoo Magazine successfully accomplished the "2nd HeartbeatInk Tattoo Contest", offering a voucher worth 200€ for a tattoo by Kostas Baronis, owner Proki Tattoo Studio. Our tattoo contest held through the official page of HeartbeatInk Tattoo Magazine on Facebook (www.facebook.com/Heartbeatink). Launched on December 30, 2014 and ended on January 16, 2015. The entries were numerous and we would like to thank all the people who took part in our competition. The lucky winner that won the prize was drawn and it was Fotis Antoniou.
HeartbeatInk met Fotis at Proki Tattoo Studio on the day of his appointment and spoke with him during his five-hour session by the tattoo artist and master of black & grey realistic portraits and surreal custom tattoo also, Kostas Baronis.
This is the fifth tattoo for Fotis, who declares to be a tattoo lover, but that he's not into excess. He especially loves realistic and cartoon tattoos. He told us: "I participated in the "HeartbeatInk Tattoo Contest" and did not really expect to win such a prize, to the extent that when you announced the winner, I didn't believe it! Until I received the inbox with the official announcement, I thought that someone was making fun of me (laughs)! I am of course extremely happy that I won and thank you guys and Kostas Baronis very much. Regarding the design that I chose, the idea for this tattoo emerged from the Mayan totem that I already have tattooed on my ribs. So I was looking for a Mayan shaman who will be depicted on me by Kostas' unique style. Before the appointment, I expressed my desire for a skull, so as a result Kostas included this element in the final design. The result is amazing. "
Fotis' tattoo surpassed arguably the value of the HeartbeatInk Tattoo Voucher, worth 200€. Fotis except for being lucky turned out to be super-lucky because Kostas Baronis decided to do the tattoo completely free!
