HeartbeatInk Tattoo Magazine was in Paris for the Le Mondial du Tatouage, which is admittedly a true celebration of the art of tattoo. We visited the spacious and beautiful La Grande Halle de la Villette on the 6th, 7th and 8th of March from noon to late at night.
340 tattoo artists from around the world and 30.000 visitors were the record of the three-day festival, which makes Le Mondial du Tatouage one of the most successful tattoo conventions worldwide.
The huge turnout peaked on Saturday and Sunday between 12:00 to 18:00, where overcrowding in the otherwise very spacious Grande Halle de la Villette, was inevitable. Beyond the massive turnout, the demand for tattoos was also massive. As a result tattooing didn't stop for even a minute. In the highlights of the weekend was clearly the special "all star tattoo" jury, consisting of Filip Leu, Bill Salmon and Luke Atkinson, and the concert of The Ocean. Other than that, we heard great music from various DJs and enjoyed the Sailor Jerry cocktails in a specially designed VIP area for journalists and tattoo artists.
Tin Tin, the organizer of Le Mondial du Tatouage and famous tattoo artist, has done a tremendous job in the part of organization and communication. Le Mondial du Tatouage leaves the visitor the best impressions and above all makes him have a good time.
Just like every year, the festival also hosted Greek artists such as Kostas Tzikalagias, Dimitris Chatzis, Bettie, Tommas Gramm, Alex Gotza, Orge Kalodimas, Ozone, DrPepper and Sake, which had a dynamic presence.
