Deftones' live appearance in Athens on Monday the 23d of June at Heavy By The Sea Festival left really good impressions. Within their several days lasting visit in our country, the HeartbeatInk team had the opportunity to meet the popular band from California and their crew at.. the Acropolis... Rather than calling this a normal ‘sightseeing’ or even a visit… it was more like an ‘invasion’, which finally ended when the guards kindly pulled us out, because the closing time had arrived. Amid high temperatures and a lot of strawberry sorbet (an essential balsam for the heatwave) and while band's guitarist Stef Carpenter was signing autographs for Mexican tourists – who came to the Acropolis for tourism and ... stumbled accross Deftones and just could not believe in their eyes -, our team 'isolated' the - heavily tattooed - light engineer of the band, John Eddy and photographed him in the shadows of the sacred rocks..
